CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing
Signature treatment
The modern
CO2 Laser Resurfing
Deep skin resurfacing, performed personally by Dr. Luck, for meaningful improvement in tone, texture, and scarring.
A Considered Approach
Skin renewal, without unnecessary downtime.
Dr. Luck personally performs deep CO2 laser resurfacing — using the DEKA Tetra system at its more corrective settings — to address fine lines, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, enlarged pores, and acne scarring. Rather than the lightest, most superficial setting on the device (marketed elsewhere as "CoolPeel®"), Dr. Luck's approach uses meaningful laser energy to produce real, visible improvement.
The Technique
Two principles behind every treatment.
The DEKA Tetra system is one of the most adaptable CO2 lasers available today, capable of both gentle maintenance and deeper correction. Every treatment plan follows the same two principles:
01
Deep, Corrective Resurfacing
Treatment settings are calibrated to the severity of your concerns, targeting deeper layers of the skin for real improvement in tone, texture, and scarring — not just a light surface pass.
02
Surgeon-Performed
Because Dr. Luck performs this treatment himself, it's planned with the same anatomical precision as his surgical procedures, and is often paired directly with facelift or other facial surgery.
Inside the Procedure
From first conversation, to final follow-up.
01
Consultation
A private consultation to assess your skin concerns and determine whether CoolPeel® or deeper Tetra resurfacing fits your goals.
02
Treatment Planning
Settings are customized (mild, moderate, or more powerful) based on your specific concerns.
03
Treatment Day
Performed in-office after cleansing and topical numbing; sessions usually take 10 to 20 minutes.
04
Follow-Up
Skin renews over one to two days of redness followed by light dryness; most patients return to normal activity the next day.
Inside the Procedure
Is a CoolPeel right for you?
The honest answer is: sometimes, and sometimes not. Below is a starting framework — the final answer comes from a real conversation.
Often a Good Fit
Noticeable sun damage, deeper wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, or acne scarring
Wants meaningful, visible improvement rather than a light surface treatment
Willing to take several days of downtime for a more corrective result
Worth Discussing First
Wants a zero-downtime, very light maintenance treatment (our aesthetician team offers lighter laser options)
Active skin infection or recent sun exposure
Surgery is a quiet art. The best results don't announce themselves — they simply look right.

Recovery Timeline
What to expect.
Advanced techniques and intraoperative nerve blocking minimize discomfort and accelerate your return to daily life.
01
Days 1–2
Redness similar to a mild sunburn. Swelling and punctate bleeding peak.
02
Days 2–4
Slight dryness as skin renews, crusting begins as the outer layers of skin begin shedding.
03
First Week
Most patients have a new layer of pinkish-colored new skin that is safe for makeup within one week of their treatment.

Common Questions
Answered with candor.
Is this the same as CoolPeel®?
No. CoolPeel® refers to the lightest possible setting on this type of laser. Dr. Luck personally performs deeper, more corrective resurfacing rather than the lightest surface-level setting.
Why not offer a lighter, no-downtime option?
Lighter laser maintenance treatments are available through our aesthetician team. Dr. Luck's own practice focuses on deeper resurfacing for patients wanting meaningful, visible results.
Can this be combined with surgery?
Yes, Dr. Luck often performs complementary CO2 laser resurfacing at the end of facelift or lower blepharoplasty surgery.
